Chariot Resources Moves Closer to Completing Nigerian Lithium Portfolio Acquisition
Chariot Resources Limited (ASX: CC9) has made meaningful progress in advancing its proposed acquisition of a significant hard-rock lithium portfolio in Nigeria through a series of regulatory approvals and administrative milestones. Several exploration licences have been approved for transfer, another key licence has received a renewal, and applications to upgrade selected small-scale mining leases into full mining leases are progressing through the regulatory process. These developments strengthen the legal framework supporting the transaction and represent important steps toward completing the acquisition. To facilitate the remaining approval process, the company has increased its funding commitment through an expanded convertible loan that will cover licence transfers, renewals, conversions and related compliance costs. Although final completion remains subject to outstanding regulatory approvals and other transaction conditions, the latest progress reinforces Chariot's strategy to establish a substantial presence in Nigeria's growing lithium sector and build a platform for future exploration, resource development and long-term value creation.
