dorsaVi Advances Smart Sensor Technology for Exoskeleton Market

dorsaVi Limited (ASX: DVL) has completed a strategic evaluation demonstrating the potential of its EMG and movement-sensing technology in the rapidly expanding exoskeleton and wearable robotics market. The analysis indicates that integrating the Company’s RRAM and neuromorphic computing technologies could significantly enhance sensor efficiency, reducing sensor requirements by 25–50%, lowering wireless data transmission volumes, and delivering more than double the battery life compared with conventional sensor architectures.

The Company is positioning itself as the “sensor-intelligence layer” within next-generation exoskeleton systems, enabling real-time detection of user movement intent before physical motion occurs. Its existing FDA-cleared sensor platform already supports applications such as gait-intent detection, gait-phase recognition, fatigue monitoring, and exoskeleton validation, creating opportunities across healthcare, rehabilitation, defence, industrial safety, and aged-care sectors.

Looking ahead, dorsaVi plans to advance its Ultra-Edge Intelligence strategy by combining sensing, computing, and memory capabilities into smart sensors capable of local decision-making. The Company believes this approach could strengthen its role in exoskeletons, prosthetics, and robotics while addressing a global exoskeleton market projected to reach US$1.79 billion by 2033.
