DUG Technology Faces US Court Battle Over Disputed Energy Invoice

DUG Technology Ltd (ASX: DUG) has confirmed the commencement of a trial in the United States District Court scheduled for 6 October 2025, concerning a disputed invoice under an energy services agreement in Texas. The issue relates to a $2.4 million (plus interest) claim made against DUG’s US subsidiary, DownUnder GeoSolutions (America) LLC, following a force majeure declaration during Texas’s 2021 winter storm. DUG had considered the matter settled after no contact for nearly three years, but the supplier initiated legal proceedings in June 2024. DUG has filed a counterclaim of $3.1 million, citing its rights under the same agreement regarding unused energy block sales. The company maintains that the claim lacks merit and has committed to a strong legal defense. Shareholders will be kept informed of material developments as the case progresses.
