EPX Expands Capabilities Through Wattwatchers Acquisition and Capital Raise
EPX Limited (ASX: EPX) has completed the acquisition of Wattwatchers Pty Limited following the execution of a Deed of Company Arrangement, strengthening its position in energy intelligence and sustainability solutions. The transaction is supported by firm commitments of AU$2.14 million from existing and new institutional investors through a placement priced at AU$0.25 per share, representing an approximate 20% discount to the 20-day VWAP. Proceeds will fund the Wattwatchers acquisition, targeted technology investment, assessment of additional M&A opportunities, and working capital requirements.
The acquisition consideration comprises AU$1.05 million, settled through a combination of cash and equity, aligning vendor interests with EPX shareholders. In parallel, EPX will offer an eligible Share Purchase Plan to raise up to an additional AU$0.7 million on identical terms, enhancing balance sheet flexibility. Management highlighted that integrating Wattwatchers’ proprietary capabilities is expected to broaden EPX’s customer offering and support long-term organic and acquisitive growth initiatives.
