Equinox Resources divests Alturas Project to refocus on core assets.

Equinox Resources Limited (ASX: EQN) has signed a binding Property Option Agreement with Maxus Mining Inc. for the full divestment of its Alturas Antimony Project in British Columbia. The agreement provides Equinox with C$300,000 in cash and C$400,000 in Maxus shares, offering both liquidity and equity upside. This move represents a strategic decision to streamline operations, exit non-core jurisdictions, and sharpen the Company’s focus on its priority projects.

The divestment allows Equinox to channel resources into advancing its flagship Hamersley Iron Ore Project in Western Australia, while simultaneously evaluating its Brazilian portfolio to identify the most promising development opportunities. Management noted that Maxus, which holds adjacent ground, is well-positioned to progress Alturas. This portfolio reshaping simplifies Equinox’s asset base, enhances financial flexibility, and positions the Company to accelerate value creation through its high-potential iron ore and Brazilian projects.
