Estrella Initiates Manganese Sample Extraction at Ira Miri Project in Timor-Leste
Estrella Resources Limited (ASX: ESR) has commenced extraction activities at its Ira Miri Manganese Project in Timor-Leste, to produce up to 30,000 tonnes (30kT) of high-grade manganese ore for market appraisal. The material will be extracted by a fleet of locally-operated contractors using excavators, bulldozers, and dump trucks. This project is expected to enhance engagement with potential international offtake partners, leveraging the project's low-impurity, high-grade manganese. Additionally, the bulk sampling will generate vital geological data, increasing the understanding of the orebody's continuity within the Noni formation. Estrella continues to prioritize local community involvement and environmental management, ensuring that the topsoil is stored separately for rehabilitation and future project development. The extraction activities will occur concurrently with further environmental and regulatory assessments.
