Frontier Energy Strengthens Waroona Project Funding with AU$280 Million Debt Commitments
Frontier Energy Limited (ASX: FHE) has strengthened the funding position of its Waroona Renewable Energy Project after securing credit-approved debt commitments of up to approximately AU$280 million. The financing package includes a construction and term facility of up to AU$250 million, together with bank guarantee and debt service reserve facilities, providing the financial foundation required to advance Stage One of the project. The participation of leading international lenders reflects growing confidence in the project's commercial viability and long-term potential.
The debt commitments, combined with the previously announced AU$110 million conditional equity raising, are expected to fully finance the project through construction and commissioning. Frontier intends to commence early construction activities once the equity proceeds are received, while final financing agreements and remaining due diligence are completed. The company views this milestone as a major step toward delivering the Waroona development, reinforcing its renewable energy expansion strategy and supporting long-term value creation for shareholders.
