GoldArc Reports Strong High-Grade Gold Discovery at Cosmopolitan
GoldArc Resources Limited (ASX: GA8) has revealed encouraging drilling outcomes from the Cosmopolitan Prospect at its Leonora South Gold Project in Western Australia. The company’s first reverse circulation drilling campaign confirmed the presence of a substantial high-grade gold system, delivering several impressive intersections. One of the key results included 23 metres grading 11.31 grams of gold per tonne, with higher-grade sections reaching above 40 grams per tonne.
The drilling program also identified a separate Upper Zone located above the main mineralised structure, indicating the possibility of additional untapped gold zones within the project area. Historically, the Cosmopolitan mine produced nearly 360,000 ounces of gold at very high grades, and the latest exploration results suggest more mineralisation remains beyond previously mined sections. GoldArc plans to continue drilling to test extensions of both mineralised zones, as large portions of the prospect remain unexplored. The company believes the project could become a significant high-grade gold opportunity within the Kookynie region.
