IAG Targets Sustainable Growth Through Ambition 2030 Strategy
Insurance Australia Group (ASX: IAG) has unveiled its refreshed “Ambition 2030” strategy, outlining long-term growth and profitability targets aimed at strengthening its leadership across Australia and New Zealand. The company plans to serve more than 11 million customers and exceed AU$25 billion in gross written premium (GWP) by 2030, while targeting a return on equity above 15% and high single-digit earnings per share growth.
IAG’s long-term strategy is built around four core pillars: enhancing customer engagement, strengthening underwriting and operational capabilities, advancing modern and adaptive business operations, and fostering a high-performing workforce. The insurer intends to leverage advanced technology, AI-enabled operations, modern digital platforms, and deep customer insights to improve efficiency and customer experience. The company has already simplified its retail technology systems, expanded AI adoption, and strengthened its claims management capabilities.
In addition, IAG highlighted its capital-light business model and comprehensive reinsurance program, designed to reduce earnings volatility and support sustainable dividend growth. Strategic partnerships with RACQ and RACV are also expected to contribute to future expansion and customer growth opportunities.
