Kairos Secures Key Mining Lease, De-Risking Mt York Gold Project
Kairos Minerals Limited (ASX: KAI) has achieved a major development milestone with the grant of Mining Lease M45/1306 for its 1.4 million ounce Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The mining lease, approved on 27 January 2026 for an initial 21-year term, covers the core Main Hill, Breccia Hill and Gossan Hill deposits and follows the recent execution of a Native Title Mining Agreement with the Nyamal People. The approval significantly reduces permitting risk and provides Kairos with the right to mine, process gold mineralisation and construct supporting infrastructure, subject to additional approvals. With the mining lease in place, the company is now focused on completing an updated Mineral Resource Estimate across the full 4.2 kilometre strike length of Mt York and progressing Prefeasibility Studies during 2026. Kairos’ strong balance sheet supports ongoing drilling, resource growth and technical studies as the project advances toward development.
