Lakes Blue Energy Taps Maison Group to Develop High Purity CO₂ Project

Lakes Blue Energy NL (ASX: LKO) has entered a binding agreement with Beijing Maison Group to advance the commercialisation of its certified 26 Bcf high-purity CO₂ discovery at Nangwarry, South Australia. Maison will fully fund and lead a bankable feasibility study for a 150–200 tonnes/day food and beverage-grade CO₂ plant, with applications extending to medical and industrial use. The project, located near Mount Gambier, offers a 20-year production horizon. While Lakes maintains focus on near-term gas production from its Wombat Gas Project in Victoria, the Nangwarry initiative adds value without diverting operational efforts. A public expression of interest campaign will support the offtake strategy, addressing significant domestic shortages of food-grade CO₂ post-COVID. Subject to successful outcomes, a commercial plant could be operational by early 2027, positioning Lakes as a strategic contributor to Australia's CO₂ supply chain
