Li-S Energy Limited (ASX: LIS) has reached two significant milestones with the shipment of its first commercially sold lithium metal foil and the attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Geelong manufacturing facility. The initial order was supplied to a leading Australian battery research institution, marking the company’s entry into commercial sales of domestically produced lithium foil. The product is manufactured at Australia’s only dedicated lithium foil production line, developed with support from a Federal Industry Growth Program grant. The ISO certification confirms that the company’s production processes meet internationally recognised standards for quality management, ensuring consistency, traceability, and manufacturing reliability. This certification strengthens Li-S Energy’s ability to supply customers across defence, aerospace, advanced battery manufacturing, and research sectors. Management noted that this achievement validates the quality of Australian-made lithium foil, reduces reliance on imported materials, and supports broader commercialisation. It also reinforces the company’s internal battery development initiatives and positions it for expanded engagement across high-value energy storage markets globally.
