Lotus Completes AU$76 Million Placement to Support Production Ramp-Up
Lotus Resources Limited (ASX: LOT) has successfully completed its AU$76 million non-underwritten placement, raising US$53 million from institutional and sophisticated investors at an offer price of AU$2.15 per share. The placement generated significant interest from both current shareholders and new institutional investors, both domestically and internationally. The capital raised will be used to bolster working capital, aiding the ramp-up to full production at the Kayelekera Uranium Mine in Malawi and supporting the completion of vital infrastructure projects. Following the raise, the company’s pro-forma unaudited cash position will total AU$145 million, which will fund projects like the acid plant and grid connection. In addition, Lotus intends to launch a Share Purchase Plan (SPP) aimed at raising as much as AU$5 million. The placement will enable Lotus to complete its commercialisation process as it aims for first shipments in Q2 CY2026.
