Magnum Mining Receives Approval to Drill REE Targets in Brazil

Magnum Mining & Exploration Limited (ASX: MGU) has received full permitting and land access approvals to commence drilling at its Azimuth 125 and Palmares Rare Earth Element (REE) Projects in Brazil. The first phase of drilling will test four out of 19 priority targets, including Piranhas, Montes Claros de Goias, Piracanjuba, and Corumbaiba—some located near major mineral operations such as FMG, API, and CMOC Brazil’s niobium mine.

At the Feirinha Prospect within Palmares, auger and RC drilling will assess ionic clay-hosted REE mineralisation, where trench and rock chip samples have returned grades up to 1.69% and 1.31% TREO, respectively. Early leach tests showed strong recoveries, highlighting excellent processing potential. The initial campaign includes 221 auger holes covering 1,105 metres, managed by Magnum’s experienced Brazilian team. Assays will be conducted by accredited local laboratories under strict QA/QC protocols to ensure reliable and consistent results.
