Maronan Metals Achieves Strong Recovery Gains in Copper-Gold Testwork.
Maronan Metals Limited (ASX: MMA) has announced positive outcomes from recent metallurgical testing on copper-gold material at its Maronan Project in northwest Queensland, reinforcing confidence in future processing performance. The latest flotation studies delivered a marked improvement in gold recovery from primary ore, with results reaching the high-80% range, materially above historical test outcomes. Copper recoveries were also strong, consistently exceeding the mid-90% level. As primary copper-gold mineralisation makes up the majority of the project’s resource base, these results are particularly significant for development planning. The testwork confirms that the ore responds well to standard flotation circuits and produces concentrates with manageable impurity levels, supporting commercial viability. While recoveries from transitional and leached material were more variable, the company sees scope for further enhancement through blending strategies and process optimisation. Maronan has initiated additional metallurgical and processing studies as part of ongoing feasibility work aimed at advancing the project toward development.
