Nico Advances Wingellina Development with Infill Drilling and Battery Materials Partnership
Nico Resources Limited (ASX: NC1) has progressed key development activities at its Wingellina Nickel-Cobalt Project, completing final planning and site preparation ahead of a resource infill drilling programme scheduled to commence during the September quarter. The programme aims to improve geological confidence, facilitate the upgrade of Indicated Resources to Measured Resources, and further strengthen the project's geo-metallurgical model. During the quarter, the Company also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pure Battery Technologies to jointly assess the development of an integrated nickel and cobalt refining platform across Australia, the United States and Europe, linking Wingellina's future mixed hydroxide precipitate production with downstream battery materials manufacturing. In parallel, Nico continued reviewing metallurgical testwork to optimise the proposed processing flowsheet and maximise project value as it advances preparations for a Definitive Feasibility Study. The Company ended the quarter with a cash balance of AU$4.86 million, providing funding to continue development activities.
