PhosCo Delivers Strong Gasaat Results, Advances Toward Maiden Resource.
PhosCo Ltd (ASX: PHO) has reported strong final assay results from drilling at the SAB prospect and trenching at the KM prospect within its Gasaat Phosphate Project in Tunisia. Recent drilling at SAB confirmed thick phosphate intersections grading above 20% P₂O₅, including internal high-grade zones exceeding 26% P₂O₅. At KM, trenching outlined broad phosphate intervals ranging from 23 to 45 metres in true thickness, with grades averaging close to 19% P₂O₅.
These results conclude the current phase of exploration and enable the company to proceed with maiden Mineral Resource Estimates for both prospects this quarter. The updated resource base will contribute to an optimised scoping study focused on improving early-stage project economics. Management highlighted the shallow, laterally continuous nature of the mineralisation, which may support efficient mining conditions. Preliminary metallurgical testing is underway to determine optimal processing pathways, while development planning will prioritise high-grade, low-strip areas to strengthen overall project returns.
