PointsBet Announces Leadership Transition to Support Next Growth Phase
PointsBet Holdings Limited (ASX: PBH) has announced a planned leadership transition aimed at ensuring continuity and supporting its next stage of growth. Andrew Catterall, currently Chief Executive Officer of the Australian business, has been appointed Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 February 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. He will succeed founder and current Group CEO Sam Swanell, who will remain closely involved during a structured handover period before moving into a senior advisory role and continuing as an Executive Director on the Board.
Mr Catterall brings over two decades of experience across wagering, media, sport, and digital industries, and has played a key role in strengthening PointsBet’s Australian operations since joining in 2022. The Board highlighted his strategic expertise, regulatory knowledge, and leadership capabilities as critical to guiding the Group forward. The transition is designed to be orderly and stable, preserving institutional knowledge while positioning PointsBet for sustained execution and long-term value creation.
