Tamboran Resources Corporation (ASX: TBN) and its Beetaloo Joint Venture (BJV) partners have approved the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Shenandoah South Pilot Project in the Beetaloo Basin, marking a major milestone for the Northern Territory’s energy future. The project is on track to deliver first gas sales by mid-2026, supported by a Gas Sales Agreement with the NT Government for 40 TJ per day, alongside agreements with APA Group and the SPCF Trust for processing and transportation.
A financing package of up to AU$179.8 million has been secured for the Sturt Plateau Compression Facility, ensuring Tamboran can fund its share of development. Drilling of the three-well program will finish in 4Q 2025, with flow testing in early 2026. Long-term production from five wells is expected to provide energy security, royalties to Native Title Holders, and a pathway to larger-scale development of the Beetaloo Basin resource.
