Variscan Mines Secures Strategic Funding for Iberian Expansion
Variscan Mines Limited (ASX: VAR) has completed a capital raising of around AU$5 million by issuing new shares to institutional and high-net-worth investors. The Company intends to use the proceeds to accelerate exploration and development activities across its critical minerals and base metals projects located in Spain’s Iberian region. The placement was completed at AU$0.07 per share and received strong investor participation, reflecting confidence in the Company’s long-term exploration strategy.
The capital raised will be directed toward exploration and drilling programs at the Novales-Udias zinc project and other highly prospective assets within the Iberian Peninsula. The Company also plans to use part of the proceeds for project development activities, technical studies, and general working capital requirements.
Management highlighted that the placement strengthens Variscan’s financial position and supports its objective of expanding exploration activities across its portfolio. The funding is expected to accelerate ongoing programs while enhancing the Company’s ability to progress its strategic growth initiatives in the European critical minerals sector.
