Wellard Limited (ASX: WLD) announced that at the time of writing, it has formally requested removal from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) following the sale of its final revenue-generating asset, the livestock vessel M/V Ocean Drover. The sale generated a 15-cent-per-share capital return to shareholders in August 2025, marking the company’s transition into a non-operational entity.
With no material business remaining, the board determined that maintaining ASX listing status is no longer viable. Wellard will now seek shareholder approval for delisting at its Annual General Meeting on 14 November 2025, with the effective delisting expected on 17 December 2025.
Post-delisting, the company plans to return excess cash while retaining reserves to support minimal operations and potential future opportunities. Wellard’s shares will remain tradable on ASX until mid-December, after which trading will move to private off-market transactions.
