XRG Expands Defence Training Reach Through Thales Partnership
xReality Group Limited (ASX: XRG) has announced that its subsidiary, Operator XR, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thales Australia to jointly pursue training and simulation opportunities across the defence, security, and law enforcement sectors. The agreement establishes a collaborative framework that allows either party to lead or support projects, depending on the opportunity, while combining Operator XR’s immersive training technology with Thales’ global market presence and defence expertise.
The partnership is designed to support joint business development activities, including tender submissions, customer engagement initiatives, and capability demonstrations. Through the arrangement, Operator XR gains access to larger-scale programs beyond its existing market footprint, while Thales can participate as a supplier or subcontractor in opportunities led by Operator XR. Management highlighted the agreement as a strong endorsement of Operator XR’s technology and a pathway to broader market opportunities. Thales also noted that the collaboration aligns with its strategy of strengthening sovereign capability and delivering advanced training and simulation solutions across Australia and international markets. As the agreement serves as an initial framework for collaboration, there is no assurance that it will result in commercial projects, customer contracts, or financial benefits.
