  • Stage 1 Pre-Feasibility Study outlined a high-margin, long-life operation with strong financial metrics.
  • Shares climbed 6.40% as investors assessed the project’s scale, development milestones and growth potential.

Minerals 260 Limited (ASX: MI6) attracted market attention on 23 July after its shares rose 6.40% to AU$0.665. Investor optimism followed the company’s presentation at the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, where it showcased the scale of its Bullabulling Gold Project and outlined a clear pathway towards becoming a significant Australian gold producer.

A gold project with enormous potential

Bullabulling has rapidly evolved into one of Australia's largest undeveloped gold assets. The project now hosts a Mineral Resource Estimate of 6.2 million ounces, comprising 190 million tonnes grading 1.0 grams per tonne gold, including 4.4 million ounces in the higher-confidence Indicated category. The company noted that the enlarged resource provides a strong foundation for future reserve growth and long-term mine development. The project has expanded significantly since Minerals 260 acquired Bullabulling in April 2025, with the resource increasing from 2.3 million ounces to 6.2 million ounces following extensive drilling and exploration activities.

Development strategy begins to take shape

The company's Stage 1 Pre-Feasibility Study highlighted Bullabulling as a high-margin, large-scale and long-life gold operation. Key financial metrics include a post-tax net present value (NPV) of AU$2.3 billion, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 43%, a two-year payback period and an estimated 19-year mine life. The initial development strategy targets a 5 million tonne per annum processing plant, with infrastructure designed to support a future expansion to 7.5 million tonnes per annum.

Strong balance sheet supports next phase

Minerals 260 also highlighted its strong financial position, reporting approximately AU$211 million in cash and deposits as of 30 June 2026 following its financing arrangement with Franco-Nevada. Construction of key infrastructure has already commenced, while the Definitive Feasibility Study and Final Investment Decision are targeted for the first quarter of calendar year 2027, with first gold production expected in the fourth quarter of 2028.With one of Australia's largest undeveloped gold resources, a well-funded balance sheet and clearly defined development milestones, Minerals 260 appears to be positioning Bullabulling as a major long-term gold production asset, providing investors with several catalysts to watch over the coming quarters.Note- All data presented is based on information available at the time of writing.Disclaimer for Kapitales ResearchThe materials provided by Kapitales Research, including articles, news, data, reports, opinions, images, charts, and videos ("Content"), are intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
