Acquisition of High Grade Mt Cattlin Gold Project

Avira Resources Limited (ASX: AVW) has signed a binding agreement to acquire the mineral rights—excluding pegmatite minerals—of the high-grade Mt Cattlin Gold Project in Western Australia’s Ravensthorpe Greenstone Belt, adjacent to Rio Tinto’s Mt Cattlin Lithium Mine. The project hosts a JORC 2012-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate of 22,940 ounces at an average grade of 3.94 g/t Au, supported by historical production of 23,006 tonnes at an exceptional 24.56 g/t Au.

High-grade and shallow mineralisation at the Sirdar and Maori Queen prospects indicates strong potential for small-scale, profitable open-pit operations. Considerable exploration upside remains, with numerous untested zones along strike and at depth, underpinned by promising results from the Plantagenet and Ellendale prospects. Robust aeromagnetic and IP geophysical anomalies coincide with known mineralisation and structural controls, offering compelling targets for resource expansion and future drilling programs.
