ADX Energy Secures Sicily Channel Exploration Permit with Strong Gas Potential

ADX Energy Ltd (ASX: ADX), through its subsidiary Audax Energy S.r.l., has been formally awarded the C.R150.AU Exploration Permit in the Sicily Channel, Italy, holding 100% equity. The permit covers a shallow-water area with significant gas exploration potential, supported by historic seismic and drilling data. ADX has identified five high-graded gas prospects with a best technical prospective resource estimate of 369 BCF.

The permit’s economics are enhanced by shallow drill depths, proximity to onshore tie-in points, access to the TRANSMED pipeline, and Italy’s favorable gas pricing. The gas is expected to be high-value, sweet biogenic methane with minimal processing requirements. With advantageous fiscal terms and supportive government policy, ADX plans to acquire further seismic and well data to refine exploration targets. The company will also host a shareholder webinar in September to present detailed technical and commercial insights on the permit’s potential.
