Humm Group Reports Mixed Performance Amid Product Transition Challenges

Oct 31, 2025

Humm Group Limited (ASX: HUM) reported a subdued first-quarter FY26 performance, with total new loan originations of AU$845 million, down 14% year-on-year. The decline was primarily due to reduced consumer and commercial lending volumes, impacted by subdued SME demand and the rollout of a new regulated Point of Sale (POS) loan product in Australia. Despite lower volumes, assets under management rose 4.4% to AU$5.3 billion, supported by stable net interest margins at 5.4%. The commercial segment-maintained market share but experienced higher credit losses and margin compression. International POS operations in Ireland and the UK recorded robust growth, partially offsetting Australian weakness. Card divisions in New Zealand and Australia achieved moderate volume growth with strong credit performance. The company remains focused on optimizing its credit and technology platforms to enhance efficiency and restore consumer lending volumes
