Alligator Energy (ASX: AGE) has successfully raised AU$17.25 million through a strongly supported institutional placement, issuing 556 million shares at AU$0.031 each. Investors will also receive one option for every two shares, exercisable at AU$0.047 pending shareholder approval. The capital will primarily fund ongoing development at the Samphire Uranium Project, including the Field Recovery Trial (FRT), feasibility study initiation, mining lease application, and exploration at the Plumbush and Blackbush deposits.
Additional funds will be directed toward Big Lake uranium exploration, land access negotiations, and general working capital. With the FRT scheduled to commence construction by August 2025 and operations by Q4 2025, the company anticipates robust news flow through 2026. Alligator expects uranium market tailwinds—including global nuclear growth and potential SPUT purchases—to enhance shareholder value as it progresses towards in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium production in South Australia.
