American Uranium Commences Early Drilling at Lo Herma ISR Project

American Uranium Limited (ASX: AMU) has deployed a drilling rig earlier than planned at its premier Lo Herma ISR Uranium Project in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin to initiate a two-stage resource development campaign. Phase 1 drilling begins this week, focusing on expanding the current 8.57Mlb uranium resource ahead of an interim Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) update in early 2026.

Phase 2 infill drilling, set for Q1 2026, will target increased confidence and category upgrades before an updated Scoping Study in Q2 2026. With all permits, bonds, and site access secured, the mud rotary rig will drill up to 121 holes and 37,500m across proposed Mine Units 1 and 2. CEO Bruce Lane stated that the program represents a significant step toward advancing one of the United States’ most promising low-cost, near-term ISR uranium projects, aiming to mirror the economic potential of similar Wyoming projects like Ur-Energy’s Shirley Basin.
