Apollo Minerals Advances Salanie Gold Exploration in Gabon

Apollo Minerals Limited (ASX: AON) has wrapped up its 2025 second-phase drilling at the Salanie Gold Project located in Gabon. Building on the success of the initial 2024 campaign, the company has resumed modern exploration in the area after a 70-year hiatus. This phase involved drilling 14 diamond holes across a total depth of 1,695 metres, targeting the A1, A3, and P6 prospects known for their historical gold potential. Notable results include 1.1m @ 19.9g/t Au and 1.0m @ 3.6g/t Au at P6, highlighting quartz-sulphide mineralisation over a 180m trend. At A1, hole SLDD006 returned 3.8m @ 1.3g/t Au, with the mineralised Salanie Fault extending north-south and remaining open. Assays for several promising holes, particularly at P6 and A1 South, are pending. The project benefits from historical high-grade gold output and strong geological structures, suggesting high potential for further discoveries. Apollo’s systematic exploration underscores growing confidence in Gabon’s underexplored greenstone belt.
