Argosy Minerals Powers Forward with 40MW Energy Deal for Rincon Lithium Project

Argosy Minerals Limited (ASX: AGY) has announced a pivotal agreement with Salta's electricity distributor, EDESA, to deliver 40MW of energy infrastructure for its Rincon Lithium Project in Argentina. The project will involve constructing a 7km medium voltage transmission line linking the site to the national power grid via the Altiplano Solar Facility. This initiative aligns with a similar effort by Rio Tinto in the region and is expected to be completed within 85 days. This infrastructure milestone is crucial for Argosy’s goal of producing 12,000 tonnes per annum of lithium carbonate, significantly reducing capital costs and enhancing the project's economic viability. The company is also in talks to secure renewable energy power purchase agreements. With a 77.5% stake in Rincon (moving toward 90%), Argosy remains committed to establishing a sustainable lithium production base in the globally strategic Lithium Triangle
