Ark Mines Limited (ASX: AHK) has announced encouraging gold assay results from initial rock chip sampling at its 100%-owned Pluton Project in North Queensland. Sampling during the 2024–2025 wet season returned gold grades up to 24.96 g/t, with silver peaking at 33.7 g/t Ag, confirming and exceeding historical results reported in 2005.
A total of 30 samples were taken from key mineralized lithologies, including quartz veins and brecciated, sericitised sandstones of the Hodgkinson Formation, with an average gold grade of 3.4 g/t. The results showed a strong correlation between gold and elements such as arsenic, copper, selenium, and tellurium, suggesting complex mineralization styles. While the Pluton Project remains secondary to Ark’s flagship Sandy Mitchell REE program, Executive Director Ben Emery noted the outstanding results make Pluton “a compelling wet-season target” with significant upside potential. Further exploration is planned to expand geological understanding and define the broader extent of mineralization.
