Astral Resources (ASX: AAR) has increased its total gold Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) to 1.76 million ounces following the inclusion of the Spargoville Gold Project, acquired through the takeover of Maximus Resources. The restated Spargoville MRE, which totals 3Mt at 1.4g/t Au for 139koz, reflects updated cost and revenue assumptions in line with the Mandilla Pre-Feasibility Study. While the revised estimate marks a reduction from Maximus’ earlier figures, Astral anticipated this and factored it into the acquisition valuation. The updated block model, regularised to better represent open-pit mining conditions, now offers improved economic realism. Combined with the Feysville (196koz) and Mandilla (1.43Moz) resources, Astral’s total MRE now spans 50Mt at 1.1g/t Au. The acquisition not only expands Astral’s resource base but also enhances its strategic footprint near Mandilla, supporting infrastructure development and exploration upside across underexplored tenures
