Astute Metals NL (ASX: ASE) has reported a landmark lithium discovery at its 100%-owned Red Mountain Lithium Project in Nevada, USA. The latest diamond drill hole, RMDD003, intersected the highest-grade lithium mineralisation to date—32.4m @ 3,260ppm Li, including an ultra-high-grade core of 8.6m @ 5,060ppm Li. Two additional significant intercepts—13.8m @ 1,330ppm Li and 23.3m @ 1,610ppm Li—extend the mineralised strike to 5.6km. This drillhole also confirmed lithium mineralisation continues northward and remains open down-dip, bolstering Red Mountain's potential as a major lithium resource. Assays from five more holes are pending. Surface sampling and metallurgical test work show promising lithium leachability up to 98%, suggesting favorable economics for future production. The company aims to progress toward a maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate later this year, positioning Red Mountain as a key player in North America's lithium supply chain
