Barton Gold Resources at Central Gawler Mill Surpass 300koz Au

Barton Gold Holdings Limited (ASX: BGD) has announced that resources at its South Australian Challenger Gold Project have exceeded 300,000 ounces of gold, marking a key milestone for the company’s planned “Stage 1” development. The updated JORC (2012) Mineral Resource Estimate now stands at 313koz Au (10.6Mt at 0.92 g/t), including 194koz Au within existing open pit and underground mine areas.

Notably, the Challenger Main Open Pit holds 70koz Au at 3.36 g/t, Challenger West Open Pit 11.6koz Au at 10.7 g/t, Challenger Underground (above 215mRL) 89.4koz Au at 2.84 g/t, and Challenger Deeps 23koz Au at 3.50 g/t. Almost all mineralisation is located on or near existing mine workings, providing opportunities for low-cost access and production. With a preliminary mill reinstatement cost of just AU$26 million (±30%), Barton is advancing directly to definitive feasibility studies. The company is targeting a phased restart by end-2026, beginning with tailings reprocessing, followed by fresh rock operations.
