Bass Oil Raises AU$3 Million to Support Gas Market Entry and Increase Oil Production.
Bass Oil Limited (ASX: BAS) has successfully raised about AU$3 million through a share placement to advance its gas and oil development plans. The company issued roughly 47.6 million new shares at AU$0.063 per share, attracting strong participation from current shareholders and new institutional and sophisticated investors. As part of the offer, investors will receive one free option for every two shares purchased, with each option exercisable at AU$0.0945 within two years. The capital raised will help fund the completion of the Vanessa gas field acquisition, the recommissioning of its facilities and pipeline, and the drilling of the Bunian-6 oil development well in Indonesia. In addition, funds will support progress on the Kiwi liquids-rich gas project toward a final investment decision. Bass aims to become a supplier to Australia’s East Coast Gas Market in 2026 once the Vanessa gas project begins operations and commercial gas sales commence.
