Market Alert: Ukraine Conflict Update and U.S. Policy Risk
Beach Energy Limited (ASX: BPT) reported solid operational results for Q3 FY25 with production at 4.9 MMboe and sales revenue of AU$552 million, supported by stable output across its basins and the sale of two Waitsia LNG cargoes for AU$152 million. Average realised gas and oil prices rose 4% and 8% respectively, while safety performance remained strong with zero recordable incidents. Liquidity improved to AU$708 million and net debt dropped to AU$312 million.
Despite post-quarter flooding in the Cooper Basin that may defer 0.5 MMboe of production, Beach maintained FY25 guidance. Key projects advanced, including final commissioning of Waitsia Stage 2 and regulatory approval for the Otway Basin drilling campaign, though rig delays may push activity to late Q4 FY25. Capital expenditure was AU$166 million, and full-year spending is expected at the lower end of the AU$700–800 million range.
