Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Announces Early Redemption of Subordinated Notes
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited (ASX: BEN) has confirmed that it will redeem its AU$125 million subordinated floating rate notes on 14 October 2026, the first available optional redemption date. The transaction has been approved by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and will proceed under the terms outlined for the securities. Investors holding the notes on the record date of 6 October 2026 will receive the principal amount of AU$10,000 per note, together with the final interest payment, subject to the applicable conditions.
The bank emphasised that this redemption applies only to the specified subordinated notes and should not be viewed as an indication that other regulatory capital instruments will be redeemed before their scheduled maturity. Any future redemption of similar securities would require separate approval from APRA. The bank also confirmed that an official redemption notice will be published, ensuring noteholders receive timely information ahead of the scheduled repayment process.
