Spenda Secures Estimated FY26 R&D Tax Offset Above AU$1.75 Million
Spenda Limited (ASX: SPX) has announced that its estimated FY26 Research and Development (R&D) tax offset is expected to exceed AU$1.75 million, subject to the completion and lodgement of its R&D Tax Incentive registration and FY26 income tax returns. The estimate remains preliminary and unaudited but signals a meaningful boost to the company’s anticipated cash position.
According to the company, the expected funds are likely to support its ongoing efforts to improve financial stability. Management stated that operational costs have been reduced, merchant fee income has increased, discussions on divesting non-core assets have progressed, and the overall cash position has strengthened. The anticipated cash inflow, expected around late September or early October, is projected to reinforce the balance sheet and support the company’s transition toward a cash flow-neutral position.
