Boab Metals Begins Groundwork for Sorby Hills Development

Boab Metals Limited (ASX: BML) has officially begun Early Works at its Sorby Hills Silver-Lead-Zinc Project in Western Australia, signifying a major advancement in the project’s development journey. The program includes constructing site access roads, laying foundations for the processing plant, developing non-processing infrastructure, and establishing an onsite accommodation camp. These activities will prepare the site ahead of the 2026 wet season, ensuring efficient rollout of key infrastructure once conditions permit. The first Early Works contract has been awarded to a local contractor, reinforcing Boab’s commitment to regional economic development and community engagement. Managing Director and CEO Simon Noon highlighted the transition from planning to physical construction as a major milestone, supported by strong investor confidence from recent capital raisings. Boab Metals Limited currently holds a 75% ownership stake in the Sorby Hills Project and retains the option to purchase the remaining 25% from Henan Yuguang Gold & Lead Co. Ltd upon reaching the final investment decision.
