Delorean Corporation: Expanding Australias Bioenergy Footprint

Delorean Corporation Limited (ASX: DEL) has commenced the operations and maintenance phase at Yarra Valley Water’s AU$53 million Lilydale Bioenergy Facility in Victoria, under an AU$8 million contract spanning two and a half years. The facility will process approximately 55,000 tonnes of food waste annually, generating over 39,000 kWh of renewable electricity daily and reducing around 24,700 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. This achievement marks Delorean’s fourth commercial-scale bioenergy facility across Australia and New Zealand, showcasing its engineering and delivery expertise. The company’s Managing Director, Joseph Oliver, emphasized this milestone as a testament to Delorean’s proven capability and as a foundation for its first Build-Own-Operate project, the SA1 Salisbury bioenergy facility in South Australia, expected to generate revenue from Q3 FY26. As a vertically integrated renewable energy and waste management enterprise, Delorean continues advancing sustainable infrastructure solutions across multiple divisions.
