Peel Mining Initiates Drilling at Nombinnie Gold Prospect

Peel Mining Limited (ASX: PEX) has commenced a new drilling program at the Nombinnie Gold Prospect in New South Wales, marking a key step in its exploration campaign. The initial phase includes 12 Reverse Circulation holes totaling approximately 1,700 metres, aimed at testing down-dip and along-strike extensions of historical gold mineralisation. Situated approximately 7 kilometres west of Mount Hope, the Nombinnie Prospect is positioned along the junction of volcanic and sedimentary rock formations within the Mt Halfway Volcanics region. Historical exploration from the 1970s–1980s revealed promising gold and copper intersections, with notable results such as 40m at 1.46g/t Au and 0.86% Cu. Recent IP geophysics and geochemical surveys have confirmed multi-element anomalies, suggesting potential for a significant sulphide system similar to Wagga Tank.
