BPH Global Strengthens Rare Earth Element Recovery Research with Marchwood Partnership.

BPH Global Ltd (ASX: BP8) has taken a significant step forward in its research into rare earth element (REE) recovery, securing a 12-month Master Services Agreement with Singapore-based Marchwood Laboratory Services (MLS). This collaboration will focus on analysing seaweed and sea plant samples for REEs, precious metals, and critical minerals, with an emphasis on four high-demand REEs — Lanthanum, Terbium, Yttrium, and Neodymium. The initiative builds on earlier studies confirming the seaweed species Sesuvium portulacastrum as a hyperaccumulator of valuable minerals, enhancing BP8’s technical platform at the intersection of blue economy solutions and advanced materials recovery.

Under the agreement, MLS will apply advanced ICP-MS technology to deliver precise elemental analysis, enabling BP8 to quantify REEs and guide scalable, eco-friendly recovery strategies. This partnership strengthens BP8’s position in developing sustainable sources of critical minerals, aligning with global demand driven by electric vehicles, renewable energy, and advanced electronics.
