Breakthrough Minerals Plans Major Drilling Campaign at Hazel Creek Copper-Gold Project.
Breakthrough Minerals Limited (ASX: BTM) has announced an exciting update on the Hazel Creek Copper-Gold Project (HCCGP) in Queensland, Australia. Following the completion of the acquisition of the Queensland Copper-Gold Project (QCGP), the company is set to launch a 3,000-meter diamond drilling program in March 2026 to explore extensions of copper-gold mineralisation at the Turpentine Deposit. The drilling will target areas open to the north and down-plunge of high-grade intercepts. In addition, an RC drilling program is planned for April 2026 to explore untested EM targets and geochemical anomalies. Breakthrough’s exploration efforts aim to expand existing resources, discover new areas of mineralisation, and grow the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The Hazel Creek project is a cornerstone of Breakthrough’s broader strategy to unlock the full potential of the QCGP, which hosts a significant portion of the region's copper-gold resources.
