Catalyst Metals Expands Asset Base with Old Highway Acquisition

Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX: CYL) has completed the purchase of the Old Highway Gold Project from Sandfire Resources, advancing its expansion plans within the Plutonic Gold Belt region of Central Western Australia. The company continues to advance its production base through the Plutonic Gold Mine, delivering 85,000 ounces annually at an AISC of AU$2,192/oz. Over the next 12 to 18 months, three additional mining areas are set to be brought online at a combined low capital cost of AU$31 million. These will utilize the company’s existing central processing infrastructure. Catalyst also controls over 75 km of strike north of the Bendigo goldfield, where a high-grade greenfield discovery at 26g/t Au has been outlined. The company reports Mineral Resources totaling 3.2 million ounces and Ore Reserves of 0.9 million ounces, backed by a solid financial foundation with AU$98 million in cash and no outstanding debt. This acquisition positions Catalyst to drive sustained, capital-efficient growth.
