Catalyst Metals Limited has announced the sale of the Henty Gold Mine in Tasmania to Kaiser Reef Limited (ASX: KAU) while retaining exposure to its future upside. The transaction includes AU$15 million upfront cash, AU$4 million in environmental bond reimbursement, AU$14 million in deferred gold consideration (3,000oz), AU$14 million in Kaiser equity (19.99%), a 0.5% NSR royalty, and an option to acquire a 50% stake in a Victorian processing plant.
This deal allows Catalyst to focus on its Plutonic operations in Western Australia, while backing Kaiser’s management for Henty’s future growth. The Victorian processing plant option addresses a key hurdle for Catalyst’s Four Eagles project. By structuring the transaction strategically, Catalyst ensures financial flexibility, operational focus, and potential long-term gains from both Henty and its Victorian assets. Completion remains subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.
