Market Alert: Trump Revives Trade War Playbook with Tariff Threats

Cettire Evaluates Impact of US Tariff Changes on EU Imports.

Apr 03, 2025

Cettire Limited (ASX: CTT) is actively assessing the implications of recent US tariff adjustments on imports from the European Union (EU). In H1-FY25, approximately 41% of the company’s total gross sales stemmed from EU-manufactured goods sold to US customers.

Currently, the US de minimis exemption remains unchanged, meaning shipments below US$800 remain duty-free, with Cettire’s average order value at US$514. The company acknowledges that these tariff modifications could impact the broader luxury retail sector, both online and in physical stores.

Anticipating such changes, Cettire has been proactively developing strategies since 2024 to mitigate potential risks. Its localisation strategy continues to expand its global revenue base, positioning the company to adapt effectively as the situation evolves.
