Charger Metals Begins Niobium Drilling at Lake Johnston

Nov 13, 2025

Charger Metals NL (ASX: CHR) has commenced drilling into a large niobium-lithium soil anomaly at the Mt Gordon Prospect within its Lake Johnston Lithium Project in Western Australia. The program forms part of a 3,000-metre RC drilling campaign funded by Rio Tinto Exploration, targeting priority lithium zones that also hold promising gold and niobium potential.

Previous soil sampling outlined a sizeable 1.8 km × 1.7 km niobium anomaly, with assays reaching 21.4 ppm Nb. Newly processed gravity and magnetic datasets reveal five discrete anomalies, interpreted as possible dense intrusive carbonatite bodies. Micro-XRF analysis detected titanite, a mineral often linked to carbonatites and rare-metal systems, reinforcing the geological significance of the target.

Four initial drillholes are now underway to test the strongest niobium responses as Charger advances both lithium and critical-minerals exploration over its expanding Lake Johnston tenure.
