Exceptionally High Grade Manganese Discovery at Christmas Creek Project

Trek Metals Limited (ASX: TKM) has announced a major discovery of exceptionally high-grade manganese mineralisation at its 100%-owned Christmas Creek Project in Western Australia. Laboratory assays from rock chip samples returned manganese grades up to an impressive 58%, nearing the theoretical maximum for pure manganese oxide. The newly identified cluster of outcrops extends over a 750-metre strike length, suggesting the potential for a large hydrothermal manganese system similar to the world-class Woodie Woodie deposits.

The area remains untested by drilling, with additional assays pending and a geophysical survey planned to identify subsurface extensions. The occurrence of high iron grades alongside manganese further supports the deposit’s hydrothermal nature. Trek’s team is preparing a drill program to test beneath the surface, marking a significant step in uncovering a potentially large-scale, high-grade manganese resource critical to both the steel and battery industries.
