Webjet Group Limited (ASX: WJL) reported resilient preliminary results for 1H26 despite a challenging travel environment. The company delivered AU$67.9 million in revenue and AU$14.4 million in underlying EBITDA, reflecting only slight declines from the prior year. Trading conditions were impacted by geopolitical tensions, tariff-related disruptions, and elevated domestic airfares, which softened demand in key domestic leisure markets. Nevertheless, Webjet achieved growth in international flight bookings and advanced all pillars of its FY30 Strategic Plan, including enhanced international offerings, new hotel and tour packages, and the integration of Locomote to accelerate business travel capabilities. Strategic investments in brand refresh, loyalty development, and enabling technology—including AI-driven efficiencies—position Webjet for long-term expansion. Although FY26 EBITDA guidance has been revised to AU$30–AU$32 million, the company remains confident in its strategy and is maintaining disciplined capital allocation while preparing to leverage improved market conditions.
