Clara Resources to Commence Drilling and PFS Activities at Ashford Coking Coal Project

Clara Resources Australia Limited (ASX: C7A) has stated that work is nearing completion on the necessary preparations for the forthcoming drilling stage at its Ashford Coking Coal Project in New South Wales, marking an important step toward advancing the project’s development. The Company has finalised technical scopes, specifications, and Request for Proposal documentation, with suitable drilling contractors already identified. The upcoming drilling campaign, scheduled to commence in the coming months, aims to enhance resource definition and expand coal quality data across the key Ashford lease.

This initiative forms a critical part of advancing the Project’s Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS), which will build upon the previous Scoping Study to assess the economic and technical viability of developing Ashford into a producing coking coal mine. The PFS will evaluate potential export logistics through the Port of Newcastle, supported by detailed analysis of mining, processing, and transportation parameters. It will also deliver a financial assessment with modelling accuracy of ±25%, underpinning Clara’s strategic development pathway.
